General Information

With the growing success of the Escalade Race and in view of its reputation and the credibility of its organization, the Committee decided some twenty years ago to play a broader role in the health of the public by promoting the practice of running.

This initiative was also part of a strong commitment to sustainable development with the aim of promoting physical activity, general health, well-being and healthy eating. Today, via our special Sant"e"scalade team, we organize a whole range of initiatives including:

  • Introduction to Walking and Running every Sunday morning from August 6 to October 8, 2017
  • Seniors training programme - every Thursday afternoon from September 14 to 30 November, 2017
  • Sunday training programme - seven Sundays preceding the Escalade Race, from October 15 to November 26, 2017
  • Special Sant "e" scalade programme specifically aimed at children between 6 and 12 years, which is developed in various schools of the Canton but also includes training with the Sunday morning programme.

Even though these training events are given by professional sports physiologists from the ATHLETICA Center, they are totally free for all participants and they take place in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
